CWLC Call for Nominations and AGM Notice of Annual General Meeting
CWLC will be having its Annual General Meeting on Friday, March 23, 2012 in Ottawa, ON.
It will take place from 9:00 AM at the:

- Annual Report
- Report of the Chair and Chief Executive Officer
- Audited Financial Statements 2010-2011
- Election of the Board of Directors

CWLC is requesting nominations to the Board of Directors for a term beginning in March 2012.
There are six (6) vacancies to fill at that time.
The vacancies to filled are:

| Director-at-Large | 1 position |

CWLC is a membership based national organization dedicated to promoting the well-being and protection of vulnerable young people. CWLC plays a significant role in promoting best practices among those in the field of child welfare, child rights, children's mental health and youth justice.

The International Forum for Child Welfare, along with OzChild Children Australia Inc., Anglicare Victoria, The Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare Inc. and ForChildren (Australia) Inc. are delighted to bring you the 2011 International Forum for Child Welfare "Education and Children's Wellbeing - Philosophy, Policy and Practice."
The WorldForum provides a wonderful opportunity to come together with other leaders, practitioners and managers from around the World to share information and focus on common issues. There will be a strong emphasis at this WorldForum on the importance of Education for Children and how we can equip them with the appropriate resources to allow them to reach their potential.

CWLC Annual General Meeting
CWLC will hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Friday, February 25, 2011 from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. at the Fairmont Château Laurier, 1 Rideau Street, Ottawa, ON. All members are invited to attend.
Following the AGM, from 10:00am - 12:00pm, CWLC is pleased to welcome Sue O'Sullivan, Federal Ombudsman for Victims of Crime, who will speak to the audience about the changes she has brought to the office since assuming her post in 2010. All are welcome.

Child Sexual Abuse Prevention: What do we know? What do we need to know?
In this presentation, Dr. Finkelhor will examine his work and initiatives and present his findings into their effectiveness. He will also discuss developing areas for prevention, possible explanations for the sex crime decline and conclude with insights and recommendations for a national strategy.
A local panel of experts will reflect on the implications of Dr. Finkelhor’s recommendations for sexual abuse prevention for various sectors in our community prior to opening the floor for general discussion.
