Adoption of children from Haiti

The current crisis in Haiti has raised concerns about the state of vulnerable children and youth in the country and Canadian international adoption efforts. Yesterday, CWLC sent a letter to the Honourable Jason Kenney, Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism, to outline our concerns about the plight of children in Haiti. CWLC strongly recommends the creation of a Ministerial Working Group comprised of Government and Non-Government experts in child welfare to provide technical advice and support on these sensitive issues.  CWLC is pleased to share the contents of the letter.
