CWLC Partners with Essential Learning to Provide E-Learning Solutions to its Members

Child Welfare League of Canada (CWLC) is pleased to announce that it has partnered with Essential Learning to offer discounts on online staff training solutions. Essential Learning, the largest provider of e-learning solutions to the behavioral health and human service industry, offers access to more than 900 hours of online training courses for child welfare and human service workers, clinicians, supervisors, and managers. The courses are designed for both paraprofessional and professional staff on topics ranging from basic work skills to advanced social services skills.

“With training budgets already stretched, implementing an e-learning solution is a cost-effective method of making sure all staff is receiving relevant and comprehensive access to courses that will enhance the level of support we provide to the vulnerable children and families we serve,” said Peter Dudding, CWLC’s chief executive officer.

CWLC members receive a 10% discount on ElevateTM LMS subscription fees. Elevate is a state-of-the-art learning management system and includes a customized organizational training web site and comprehensive online training and management system with top-notch reporting and monitoring capabilities for tracking course completion and compliance with licensing mandates. It also provides on-demand access to all CWLC, CWLA and EL courses for your entire staff, as well as the ability to customize courses from the EL library, add new courses of your own, and develop new courses with the assistance of EL staff.

An introductory webinar will be held on January 11 and January 17, 2012 to help CWLC members familiarize themselves with Essential Learning and its services.
