Other Projects

In May 2011, the CWLC commenced a new project – Review of Income Security Programs for Youth Leaving Care. This study will examine the federal, provincial and territorial programs that are in place, as well as the experience of young people accessing these programs. The project is being funded by Child and Youth Advocates in nine provinces/territories.

The CWLC has also completed a Supports for Parenting of Vulnerable Youth project with the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), which examined the use of parenting training programs for adolescents. This project also involved the National Youth in Care Network in providing input from young people about their perspectives on parenting training programs.
